This equipment is primarily utilized for the preparation of materials—such as ceramics, composite ceramics, and super-hard materials—via vacuum hot-pressing sintering processes. It principally employs graphite or metallic resistance heating, with pressure applied either from above or below by a ram driven by a hydraulic cylinder. Under high-temperature conditions, the solid particles within the green body establish interconnections; this leads to grain growth, a gradual reduction in voids (pores) and grain boundaries, and—through mass transport—a contraction in overall volume and an increase in density. Ultimately, the material transforms into a dense, polycrystalline sintered body characterized by a specific microstructure, thereby achieving the desired shape and form.
